![]() The above guide for XP says \windows\winsxs\x86_1fc8b3b9a1e 18e3b_7.42_x-ww_0de06acd, but no such directory exists on my Vista system. In \windows\winsxs\, look for the folders starting with x86_. NOTE: This assumes you're using VC 2005 Express. I'm rewriting it for convenience, and because there's a minor difference I found between doing this on XP and Vista, and because there's a crucial bit of info missing from the guide on the MS forums. ![]() Here's a proper guide, based on instructions I found here.
